The Community Mem de Sa is a river island in the Parui River, a tributary of the Vaza -Barris River, 23 km away from the seat of the municipality and 53 km from the state capital of Sergipe, Aracaju. The town Mem de Sa is made up of a population of approximately 75 families (around 375 people ) living for decades in geographic isolation situation in relation to its municipality.
